Sooo, I was going to write a blog about the divorce rumors between Jon and Kate Gosselin, but decided against it...for my own sanity. I am not even entertaining the thought that divorce could ever happen!! I mean, look at them!

i'm a woman in the outdoors.

Super excited! I'm officially a member of Women In The Outdoors, thanks to my wonderful boss!

Learning new outdoor skills, meeting people with similar interests and spending time with family and friends are what the Women in the Outdoors program is all about!

I'm very excited to be attending the Women in the Outdoors event this year! We're gonna receive expert instruction and a chance to try a variety of outdoor activities thanks to the National Wild Turkey Federation and it's partners! Woot! I'm super excited!!

So, I'm really not much of an "outdoorsy" person when it comes to certain things...but I am SO looking forward to learning some new things such as: skeet shooting (because I'm a Southern woman and I feel like I NEED to learn this), fly fishing, archery, wagon driving, etc!

tribute to a golden girl.

Bea Arthur, best known for her role as Dorothy Zbornak on the sitcom The Golden Girls, has died at age 86. Dan Watt, her spokesman and former assistant, told the Associated Press the actress passed away at her home early Saturday after a battle with cancer. He declined to give further details.This really upsets me. :*( I'm a dedicated Golden Girls watcher, thank you Lifetime! I was pretty sad when Estelle Getty passed away last year, but Dorothy Zbornak? I thought she'd live forever!

My friends and I LOVE the Golden Girls and we like to consider ourselves the younger versions of each. :) See below: Picture 1 features Rose and Dorothy. Picture 2 is Sophia and Blanche!! :)

Bea will always be in our hearts and I will watch every re-run in remembrance of her and Estelle!

my fun-filled, action-packed friday night.

TGIF! I am so stinkin' glad! This has been the longest week ever! What are my big Friday night plans? Gym. Wal-Mart. Home. Fun, huh? I'm renting movies at the Red Box at Wal-Mart and plan to enjoy my night at home doing nothing!! If you haven't used Red Box, you should definitely try it. If you wanna try it, visit www.redbox.com for a free promotion code good for one free rental!!So, I have to admit: I only worked out for an hour last night. I've been EVERYDAY this week, though and usually Thursdays and Sundays are my elected days off. But, since I'm going to be spending next weekend in Hot Springs...I figured I'd better get my ass in gear this week! Anyway, it was enjoyable. There was a marathon of "Dirty Jobs" on Discovery Channel...so the time passed relatively quickly!

I was enjoying my jello cup breakfast this morning while I was reading blogs, as I do every morning...when I realized, where is everyone? Tara? Krystal? Annie? You guys are neglecting us in the blog world!! (Krystal, you totally have an excuse! Kaylee!) I would enjoy hearing from you all soon! I feel like I'm blogging to an empty cyberworld! :)

You guys remember Douglas, my friend's little boy? Well, he had surgery day before yesterday and he's doing amazing! Sadly, he's still in NICU and they're planning to keep him there for a while...but he's gaining weight and getting better everyday! Please keep him and his family in your prayers...he's been in there since February 2nd!
I guess that's all for me! I'm enjoying reading everyone's blogs and can't wait to try Ace's new recipe!! :)

i can't fight with an eclipse.

According to HarryPottersPage.com, Summit Entertainment has confirmed the director for ‘Eclipse’ will be David Slade! David’s most recent film was ‘30 Days of Night!’

Also, the release for Eclipse in theaters is confirmed for June 30, 2010!

my lovely tuesday.

I was in love with my scale this morning! 35 pounds down! Super excited! If you guys haven't noticed, I weigh everyday. I know people argue that isn't healthy, but it's what works for me. If I don't weigh everyday, I tend to get off track. So, since the scale was so good to me this morning, I rewarded myself. I ate a wonderfully, delicious raspberry shortbread cookie this morning! I ate that thing at like 7:30 am so I'm sure I'll burn it off today! :) I just busted into my real breakfast about 15 minutes ago and I was amazed! I have apple slices and grapes every morning. (They come pre-packaged at Wal-Mart and I love them!) Anyway, where ever they're growing these grapes...they must have steriods or something! I got a BIG FAT grape! I just thought it was huge...the picture doesn't really do it justice. The grape on the right is a normal sized grape...and the left is the gargantuan Sasquatch grape, but still equally yummy!
I'm beginning to get SUPER excited. I get to go home on May 1st! :) I'm super stoked. I haven't seen my wonderful family since December! Ugh, it sucks living so far away, but I guess it makes me appreciate my loved ones more.
I'm throwing my cousin, Kayla, a wedding shower and it's gonna be so much fun! I cannot wait! It's going to be so great! :) Can May 1st take any longer to get here!?

fridayyyyyy.

I am so super excited today is Friday!! I'm not doing ANYTHING this weekend and I am more than stoked about that! Me and the best friend do have a date on Saturday for lunch and Hannah Montana! Woot! But, tonight and tomorrow night I'm getting my scrapbooking done. It's about time! I have 4 months of pictures in a pile on my bookshelf that have to get scrapbooked asap!

So, those are my big plans for this weekend...along with the whole gym thing. Of course! Ladies...I'm proud to announce to you today that I have officially lost 31 pounds!! Woot! I know, go me! I've been working extra hard this week because I have to go home 2 weekends in May, that means no gym access! Although I am an Anytime Fitness member and I can get into ANY Anytime Fitness in America with my membership...sadly, they haven't finished the one in Hot Springs. Boo. :( So, I'm just going to walk the track at my high school with Grandma. :)

I'm hoping to reach my small goal of 35 pounds lost before my cousin's wedding shower on May 2nd (you guys keep your fingers crossed for me!) As you can see, I added a weight loss ticker to the top of my page to let you guys know how I'm doing...my first goal is to get 52 pounds off by my birthday, September 8th (21 more pounds to go!)...so that's what the ticker is set for right now.

I guess that's about it for now...I'm seriously thinking about trying out Ace's new recipe tonight. It looks delish!! Oh, and Sarah: I'm totally wearing my sorority t-shirt to the gym tonight and I'll be thinking about you the whole time! :) Hehe, love you girl!! :)

like i don't have enough shoes already.

Hello all!!

There's been a tragedy. My gym shoes have bit the dust. Poor little girls...they were so good to me. It's obvious you need a new pair of tennis shoes when you're on the treadmill and you're shoes are whispering to you. Yes, everytime I take a step, my right shoe whistles. Ha! I busted an air pocket or something, anyhow, I need new shoes!! (Like I don't already have enough!)

I haven't invested in a GOOD pair of tennis shoes in a while! Not because I don't think everyone needs a good pair, but just because, seriously, WHERE WAS I GOING TO WEAR THEM? I was doing NO exercise whatsoever...well, now since I'm a self-proclaimed gym rat, I need new shoes!

Like I said before, I'm ill experienced in the tennis shoe shopping field. I could shop all day for cute flip flops or ballet flats, but I need help with tennis shoes!!

Here are a few I picked out that I think we'll work okay. I'd like to find a good deal as well as find something that will work for me.

I have basically NO arch in my foot, so it's hard to find shoes that won't hurt my ankles. The shoes I just destroyed in the gym last week actually came from Wal-Mart, but they had almost no sole which I find works best for me. My poor feet can't handle a thick sole. Also, I do LOTS of walking/running on the treadmill & eliptical plus I do some weight training in the gym: so I need something that's going to be good for both. Will you guys plleeaasseee help me?

my fantabulous easter family.

Yay for Easter! Every year I spend Easter with my best friend, Carly, and her family. This year was no different. I spent almost the entire weekend with the whole gang and it was super fun! I don't get to go home much because it's so far away so I'm super lucky to have my second family right here! They are tooo great! Here they are: Carly, me, Virginia (Carly's grandma), Deb (my second mom), Toni and Emily. Oh yeah, don't forget BJ (my Dad away from home) peeping up from behind!
I am so lucky to have these people in my life. Carly and I have been best friends since 2004 and we've each been in each other's families most of that time too. These people are just extended family to me, not friend's family!

Oh, I also wanted to post a picture of my favorite little lephrachaun, Riley! This is him and his momma, Shauna. Shauna is one of my best friends and Riley is my true love! I just love him to peices!

my grandma has a facebook.

Yes. You read that right. My GRANDMA has a facebook. Crazy, huh? I thought it was a little odd, so I decided to blog about it!

What you have to understand about my Grandma is that she is one, hip, old lady! She's only 62 and she is up with the trends! She's a blast! For example: at my cousin Chase's birthday party last year, she got drunk. Yes, my grandma got drunk! (Off only one beer, I might add!) She's so funny!! Here's a little proof of her crazy side, she was singing some Kid Rock song, I believe:
So, yeah. She has a facebook. I just needed to share!! This is my super cool Grandma and me this past summer (please ignore my extreme fatness: I weigh a whole 26 pounds less now, but it feels like 100!!!)

is gym rat a real thing?

I have a confession to make. I think I may have another addiction, besides Edward Cullen. I think I may be obsessed with my new gym! A gym rat, if you will. That's right, folks, I bought a gym membership...look at me go!! :) So, far I really love the place. It's super laid back, not entirely too crowded and the people are great!

One of the greatest parts (okay, this is lame, I'll admit)...every machine has a TV!! So, I didn't have to miss The Biggest Loser last night while I worked out! Sweeeeetttt!!! :)

So, it's called Anytime Fitness and they have gyms all over the United States. I signed a year contract with them and I can use my key to get into ANY Anytime Fitness in America! Now, that's awesome! So, if I'm home for the holidays or something, I can still work out!! Yayyy!

They also have different classes you can take like Spinning Class, Abs Class, Step Class, etc. All included in your monthly fee. You can also take training sessions with personal trainers! I totally can't afford that right now, at 30 bucks a pop! But, before my cousin Kayla's wedding, I'm scheduling a session so I can look extra good!
